The end of a long weekend (a short post)

 

Over the weekend, my brother got word that he is finally on a nation's foreign birth registry.  He is now a citizen of a European Country.  My paperwork is several months behind his, and I will check in with the foreign birth registrar when my application hits the one year mark from submission.  I would have liked to have also been eligible for the St. Kitts passport above.  But this is not the case anymore.

This weekend, the rain has kept us inside most of the time.  Although we got outside for some food shopping on Sunday, I didn't bother going to church - it was way too wet outside.  By the time we left the house, only the supermarkets were open for business.  At least, I was able to get into a pretty dress for this short trip.

Memorial day was something else.  The sun was out, and we relaxed until mid afternoon.  Again, the weather was warm, and I wore one of my summer dresses. Did I need to go through the headaches of preparing myself for a female presentation today?  No.  But I enjoyed doing so.  Soon, I'll be stuck in presenting as Mario for a doctor's appointment.  But once I'm done, I intend to get my nails done for the first time in a long while.

I'm surprised at how sensitive a person can be.  When I compared Christian sects proselyting to recruit new followers with someone's complaint about Islam and hijabs, I didn't expect a tempest in a teapot.  This person believes that Islam is out to exterminate Christianity.  If the only nations who practiced Islam were Saudi Arabia and Iran, then she may have a case, given that the closer to Mecca one is, the more extreme a form of Islam is encountered.  Travel far away from the middle east, and people are much more relaxed about the faiths of their neighbors.  This doesn't mean that jihad doesn't exist.  But there are several types mentioned in Islamic scripture and not all are violent.

Given that this woman has soured on Trump, there may be hope for her yet.  But I doubt it.  She gets her news from right wing outlets, and she calls Democratic politicians by insulting names - something I don't do, even in regard to politicians I hate, such as Ted Cruz and Lindsay Graham.  There is a lack of respect for others in her attitude, and it is related to the tribe in which she identifies.

In 2029, I expect to see America rebuke the GOP much more than it will this November.  Investigations and trials will be on the agenda, and I expect that we'll see constitutional amendments come out of the process.  MAGA will become a chronic political disease instead of a near fatal one.  Or, at least I hope this becomes true.

The three biggest lies ever told are:

1. I'm from the IRS and I'm here to help you.
2. I won't cum in your mouth.
3. My name is Donald J. Trump, and I, alone, can fit it.

How much has he ever delivered for the American people?  Yes, he gave the alienated lower caste whites a feeling that their grievances would be addressed.  But this was done while he grifted billions from the American public, and pocket more billions from businesses willing to make a few payoffs to get things done for them.

Recently, the Orange Monster has made so many conflicting statements regarding the war with Iran that only a person addicted to the monster's Kook-Aid can make any sense (if any objective sense can be made) of his statements.  First, he says we're at war.  And then he doesn't, so that he can avoid being accountable to Congress.   His administration said that we neutralized Iran's nuclear program, and now the same administration claims that we must eliminate it.  Of course, he claimed we defeated Iran, and yet, they control the strait of Hormuz.  In short, we get more real coverage of the war from Iranian propaganda than from anything said by our administration.

Yet, the monster continues his screeds against America's transgender population.  In addition to my European citizenship by descent, I am going for a third citizenship via my maternal line of descent.  My objective is to be able to leave the United States if I have any inkling of "trans vanishings" occurring due to the ICE Gestapo.  

Soon, the family homestead will be sold.  And I will be looking for a place to put my money.  Ideally, I want to get money outside the US in a way that is legal.  I am comfortable with the idea of holding funds in an overseas bank, filing appropriate paperwork with the IRS when required.  But if the crud hits the fan, I want much of my money out of Uncle Sam's greedy hands.

So, my thoughts keep going back to the Monster.  He's broken all of the promises (formal and informal) we have given around the world.  I just wonder what will happen between now and our November election.....

It's amazing how evil our president is (a short post)

 

It's hard to believe how ugly this man's soul must be.  I've been totally disgusted with this poor excuse for a member of our species for a long while now.  He has no standards, and yet, he's still in charge of our government. He has turned a division of our government into his own Gestapo.  He has destroyed the department of justice.  He is destroying our economy.  And yet, he is still in power. 

Like many TG people, I am avoiding the headaches of coming into contact with Federal government officials while presenting as Marian.  Next year, I will be trying to renew my US passport, hoping that I have not been placed on our government's blacklist.  (Yes, citizens with some names, mostly Middle-East/Arab in nature, are being prevented from getting passports.)  My desire is to be able to leave this country when I can, just in case the remaining safeguards that preserve our freedoms fail.

Assuming that the Democratic party regains control of the House of Representatives in the 2026 elections, I see one way that he (and the rest of his regime) can be forced out in 2027 - denying the government for funding of any of its functions.  The Orange Monster has destroyed the rule of law.  So, why not deny the government the money to pay any of its employees, essential or not.  What would happen if the government was shut down for months?  Would the military stay on duty?  What about Air Traffic Control?  So many parts of government would cease to function when people stopped showing up for work.

But how could this force the monster out?

The answer is simple.  The Democrats in the House could say that both the President and the Vice President MUST resign before they will allow the government to be funded.  The Speaker of the House, a Democrat, becomes president, and then he can start work on cleaning up the monster's mess.  Even better than this, he could serve for a little under 10 years, as he could be elected to 2 terms in his own right.

If money makes the world go round, then the people who control the money can control its spin.... 

 

We're 6 months into this mess, with 42 more to go

 

None of us could have foreseen the damage the snowflake has done to America in just 6 months.  I had an idea that this would be his "Revenge" term.  He has no respect for America, its people or its ideals.  And all of the GOP is afraid of what he can do to them if they don't follow his lead.  When people abdicate responsibility for their own lives and others, they become worthless to all.

My congress critter claimed he was fighting for his constituents, yet he hasn't delivered anything of value for the people in his district.  The Social Security office is closed, and the SALT (State and Local Taxes) deduction of $40k will expire in 5 years, not made permanent like the big business tax giveaways.  He could have voted NO on the Big Ugly Bill, but he caved - as did virtually all of the GOP members in the House and Senate.  Unless things change, I will never vote for a GOP candidate again.

In my opinion, the worst thing that he has done has been to destroy the integrity of the data being collected by the US government.  For example, firing the majority of NOAA employees set back weather data collection and analysis by years.  We can no longer be assured where storms will his, the direction they will likely travel, and the severity of the storms.  Recently, 32 Texas girls at a camp died because they didn't have appropriate information in regard to a coming storm.  Employment data gathered by the Labor Department has been debased, making it look like we have had a net increase in employment when the opposite is happening.  

The sad thing about this mess is that the right wing propaganda keeps stirring up fear in people, and making them feel like this corrupt leader is the only person who can save them.  My brother believes that the snowflake's demands to shut the border has resulted in reduced illegal immigration, when this number was going down before the snowflake took office.  Additionally, he feels that the border with Canada should be closed as tight as many people want the border with Mexico sealed.  Not even 0.1% of the illegal drugs are coming in from Canada as from Mexico, yet he wants to make the same effort to seal that border just as tight There are no priorities in people who believe that the snowflake is doing his job.

Strangely enough, the Big Ugly Bill that the snowflake just signed may have given the Democratic Party an edge in the 2026 elections - only if they can convince the public that decisions made in 2025 will hurt them in 2027.  The ACA is being defunded, Medicaid is being defunded, and people are wondering what is next?  

I feel that if we can see a strong blue wave in the 2026 elections, we can stop the madness halfway through the snowflake's term.  Hopefully, this will happen - if we can make it to Election Day next year.
